Black and White Landscape Photography

Contemporary landscape photography - nuances of composition, light and form, as a manifestation of life's journey, engages with the very essence and mystery of the world about us. Photography, as a contemporary aesthetic art, bridges inner experiences with the constant flux of the world about us through photographic symbols that the practice of photography can communicate to us. There is the form which the symbol takes, and the concept which it represents to us; one of a number of endless, posssible representations, which suggests that a photograph is 'made' and not 'taken'.

The photographic image / mirror / window shows us something greater of who we are, a further sense of mystery that can newly punctuate the surface illusion of reality. Images evoke dreams, memories and contemplative reflections on life as we know it.

"The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves". Carl Jung
